Rob and Cornelia Zerban |
Rob Zerban truly has a unique perspective on the issues. His philosophy is that in order to affect real change in the country, we have to start with the government itself. Rob supports a ban on former Congresspersons becoming lobbyists in Washington. He also supports term limits for both the House and Senate members. By limiting both chambers of Congress, the people are sure to benefit from fresh ideas and perspectives.
Rob also brings some new ideas to the table regarding the economy. He is a champion for the middle class and working poor. Rob believes that Free Trade Agreements hurt not only our economy and people, but they hurt workers around the world as well. He proposes Fair trade agreements, and is strongly opposed to the outsourcing of American jobs and wants to implement changes to the tax code that rewards corporations for bringing jobs back home instead of helping to cover their expenses for shipping jobs overseas. As part of Rob's economic plans, he supports investing in infrastructure, low or no cost job re-training and of course, Rob supports Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security and will fight to protect them.
Zerban understands that protecting the environment goes hand-in-hand with sound economic policy. By investing in green energy sources we can create jobs that pay living wages and protect our only planet simultaneously. He supports a Renewable Electricity Standard of 25% by 2025. He also supports funding for high-speed rail and light rail,as well as other forms of of green transportation such as hybrid and electric cars as well as bike paths. Rob is opposed to hydro-fracking and Mountain-top removal mining. He truly is a guardian of the environment. Rob advocates energy independence in a responsible way.
Rob is also firm in his belief that corporations are not people and that money is not speech. He believes in transparency in government and in campaign financing. Rob is a true reformer and will go to congress with fresh and dynamic ideas for the betterment of not only his district, but the entire nation.
Rob Zerban is running against none other than Paul Ryan, who is seeking another term in the House representing Wisconsin's 1st District...just in case. He wants to have his bases covered so, if (when) he loses the election for Vice President, he'll still have a hand in the game. So, people of Wisconsin's 1st--you have to ask yourselves: Do you really want to be an afterthought? You have the opportunity to elect a man who has been where you are, and cares about the direction in which you're heading. You're not his second choice and I encourage you to cast your ballot for a man who will not only represent your district with all his might, but will benefit the entire country with his service. Please cast your vote for Rob Zerban on November 6th, and send Lyin' Ryan to the unemployment line where he belongs.
Check out some of Rob's ideas on his website. Please show him your support in the form of a donation (any amount will show your encouragement)! You can do that here.
